Equally important is full material traceability — a manufacturer should provide EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 mill test certificates tracing the raw casting or forging back to the heat number. Red Flags When a Supplier Can't Produce Documentation
If a manufacturer hesitates to share certificate copies, cannot name the testing standard used for a specific valve, or offers to "arrange" documentation after the order is placed, treat this as a warning sign. Certification should exist before the sale, not be generated to close it.
